Reading winger Jimmy Kebe has signed a new deal to keep him at the Madejski Stadium until 2012.
The Mali international's existing deal was due to expire in 2010, but the club have moved to tie him for a further two years.
Kebe joined Reading from Lens in January 2008 and he has established himself as a key member of Steve Coppell's plans.
The 23-year-old was delighted to pledge his long-term future to the Championship promotion hopefuls.
"I'm very pleased to sign this new contract. I am happy at Reading, playing in a good team and I hope we will get promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season," Kebe told the club's official website.
Royals Director of Football Nick Hammond was happy to have secured Kebe's immediate future.
"Jimmy has now found his feet with us and adjusted well to English football, illustrated by the fact he already has seven assists this season," said Hammond.
"He's an exciting talent who gets supporters onto the edge of their seats and it's very important we have secured him for the next three-and-a-half years because he's the kind of player who is bound to create interest from other clubs."
