Inspired Blake

Burnley manager Owen Coyle paid tribute to Robbie Blake and Chris Eagles after the duo masterminded Norwich's 2-0 defeat at Turf Moor. Veteran striker Blake was in inspirational form, laying on two second-half goals for Eagles and the Clarets underlined their promotion credentials with their second win in five days on home soil. "I thought they were both outstanding," said Coyle, whose team have lost just one of their last 15 matches in all competitions. "Robbie has been champing at the bit and had a point to prove today, which he did. We all know the quality he has "As for Chris, the quality of his goals was there for all to see. "It's taken him time to adjust after coming from arguably the biggest club in the world (Manchester United) but he's forced his way into our team and he's starting to flourish. "He's not the finished article yet but he's learning all the time."

Locked in

Norwich manager Glen Roeder kept his players locked in the dressing room for almost an hour after the final whistle. He said: "There was no ranting or raving - that wasn't necessary - but they did need a serious talking to about what happened in the second half. "We are not where we want to be at the minute but we are not feeling sorry for ourselves. "We now have a couple of home games coming up and we need to take full advantage of them. The men in the team need to come to the fore and show the fighting spirit needed to win two home games."
