Scolari happy for midfielder to meet Low

Michael Ballack met Joachim Low for clear-the-air talks in Germany on Thursday night after being allowed to travel by Luiz Felipe Scolari. Chelsea had previously stated that the German midfielder would not be allowed to fly out to speak with his national team manager in person. The two men fell out earlier this month when Ballack declared that Low had shown a lack of respect to senior players in the Germany squad. Low summoned Ballack to Germany but the midfielder's foot injury complicated matters with Chelsea unwilling to release him. Scolari had a change of heart this week and insists he has no problem with Ballack after he returned to England for treatment at Chelsea on Friday morning.

Scolari blessing

"It's not my business. It's the business of the coach of the German Federation and Ballack," said Scolari. "I gave Ballack permission to fly. What happened there is none of my business. "If Ballack said something, if the German Federation said something, it's not for me. "He's here at the club now having treatment. He came back overnight and is here doing his job. "His first priority was always to have his treatment. What happened is their business, not mine." Low has now announced that Ballack will remain as Germany captain as a result of the talks.
