Wes Brom striker prefers Czech Republic officials
West Brom striker Roman Bednar has slammed the quality of referees in the Premier League and insists officials are of a higher standard in the Czech Republic.
Bednar has been angered by some of the decisions made by referee Mike Dean in Sunday's Midlands derby defeat to Aston Villa at The Hawthorns.
The Czech international feels the Baggies did not get the equal share of the decisions with their local rivals and that it cost his side the points.
"I thought the referee's decisions were a little bit against us," Bednar told the
Birmingham Post
"Personally I don't think English referees are too good anyway and they are a better standard back home.

"I don't think some of the decisions were very fair and a lot went against us."
Meanwhile, Bednar is hoping to continue his run in the first-team plans of manager Tony Mowbray and is pledging to add to the two goals he has scored this season.
"I am enjoying playing football and, while I know there is always going to be competition for places - just as there was last year - I feel I have a lot to offer," he added.
"I feel I am playing well and every minute that I get on the pitch I enjoy.
"I was very disappointed when the manager took me off (against Villa) because I want to play in every part of every game.
"The only way to change that is to add more goals. If that helps me and the team I will be happy."
