Andy Johnson has confirmed Fulham were his first choice club to join this summer.
The former Crystal Palace striker left Everton after two seasons on Merseyside for Craven Cottage on Thursday.
A host of clubs were reportedly tracking the 27-year-old's services, but the fleet-footed forward had his heart set on Fulham.
"Fulham are a top team with a great gaffer. Fulham was my first choice," he told
Sky Sports News.
"I was always confident the deal would happen. I'm just happy to be here.

"I'm happy to be back down south and I'm looking forward to the start of the season.
"I'm not worried about the competition for places. You want to fight for your place which is a good thing."
Johnson is believed to have left Goodison Park under something of a cloud, but he refused to confirm or deny reports he had fallen out with manager David Moyes.
"I don't want to talk about it. I had a good two years at Everton, but I'm a Fulham player now. I've moved on," he continued.
Fulham boss Roy Hodgson believes the acquisition of Johnson will go some way to ensuring the club do not have another scare where they narrowly avoided the drop last time around.
Hodgson said: "We would like to become a much more solid Premier League team and with the players we've signed this year, and not least Johnson, we're making a very good step in that direction."
No talks
Meanwhile, Hodgson confirmed that no talks are planned with Jimmy Bullard, but insisted the midfielder remains a key man and very much part of their plans.
The former Wigan midfielder has two years left to run on his existing deal and the Cottagers will not be offering a new and improved stay to their talismanic midfielder just yet, although he is not for sale.
"We have no intention of selling him. We have no desire to sell him. We want Jimmy to stay," Hodgson said.
"Given the amount of money given to the club by (chairman) Mr Al Fayed, we're reluctant to start re-signing contracts that have got two years to go.
"Jimmy understands we want to keep him. As his contract comes someway to conclusion we'll look at it then."
