Reds full-back welcomes competition ahead of new season
Liverpool full-back Fabio Aurelio believes the club are well-equipped to compete for silverware in the new season.
Reds boss Rafa Benitez has already secured the signatures of defenders Philipp Degen and Andrea Dossena, and goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri.
The Spaniard has also confirmed he is still in the market for 'two more players' as he looks to fine-tune his squad, having gone two seasons without a trophy.
And Aurelio, who is set to compete with Dossena for a starting berth in the new term, has welcomed the competition, and believes Liverpool's added depth will ensure they are a force to be reckoned with.
Every title
"At a club like Liverpool there is always massive competition to get into the starting XI because of the players we have for each position, but that is good and it can only improve the team," he told the club's
official website.
"We are trying to fight for every title and we have more possibilities this season."
On the signing of Brazilian compatriot Cavalieri, Aurelio added: "I know last season he was the second best goalkeeper in Brazil.
"He's a good goalkeeper so he's now got a good opportunity to show what he can do."
