With Barcelona interested in his signature, Paulinho served a reminder of his talents by finishing off a brilliant team goal in style for Guangzhou Evergrande on Sunday.
The midfielder played a neat one-two before taking the ball on his chest and then lashing a volley into the bottom corner from just inside the box.
He scored again in the same match - this time a scrappy finish from close range - but Guangzhou were still beaten 4-3 by Tianjin Quanjian.
Paulinho joined Guangzhou from Tottenham Hotspur in June 2015 and has won the title in both his seasons in the Chinese Super League.
He now looks set to head back to Europe as Barcelona have opened talks to secure his services.
Paulinho has a £35m release clause in his contract with the Chinese Super League side, but Spanish giants Barcelona are reportedly unwilling to pay that much for the Brazilian. The Chinese mid-season transfer window closes on July 14.
