Defender to stay with Whites

Leeds United have secured Darren Kenton's services for the remainder of the season following his release by Leicester City. The former Southampton and Norwich defender had been on loan at Elland Road as cover for Rui Marques, who is at the Africa Cup of Nations with Angola. However, Kenton had the remainder of his Foxes deal cancelled by mutual consent on Thursday, paving the way for Leeds to retain his services. Kenton, who has made four league appearances for Leeds since joining, has penned a deal keeping him at the club for the rest of the season. The Whites could well make it a double deal on transfer deadline day with Stockport's Anthony Elding expected to join.
