Midfielder trains with former club
Jeff Whitley is training with former club Wrexham as he looks to fix up a deal for the rest of the season.
The midfielder was released by Cardiff City last summer after finishing the campaign on loan at Wrexham.
He played a role in the club's Football League survival and linked up with Brian Little's side earlier this week.
Whitley will spend a few days training with the League Two strugglers and appears willing to sign a contract.
Challenge
"It's only when you are not in the game that you realise just how much you miss it," Whitley told the club's official website.
"I really enjoyed being back at Wrexham last season and I was delighted that it eventually turned out well for the club.
"The people here showed their faith in me, so I would be more than happy to come back and help out once again.
"We will just have to see how this week goes, but I'm up for the challenge and feel sure that I have plenty to offer the club over the rest of the season."
