A superb display from Yeovil goalkeeper Chris Weale was enough to earn a 0-0 draw against Newport County at Rodney Parade.
In a scrappy first half, Yeovil had the better opportunities to break the deadlock.
A foul from Newport captain Mark Byrne led to an early chance for the visitors as Matt Dolan's free-kick was met by Harry Cornick whose header rattled the crossbar.
Both sides struggled to gain rhythm in a lacklustre first half until the 43rd minute, when Yeovil new boy Francois Zoko, who only officially signed for Yeovil hours before kick-off, saw his header sail over after Connor Roberts' teasing cross.
After the break, Newport started to take a hold of the game. A mistake from Yeovil captain Nathan Smith teed up Newport striker Zak Ansah whose shot was deflected wide.
On the back foot for most of the half, Yeovil goalkeeper Weale was forced into making a series of stops, including a superb reflex save following Scot Bennett's goal-bound shot from a corner.
At the other end, Yeovil had a late chance to snatch the win, but Cornick's header was tipped wide by Joe Day.
