Midfielder expects away win

Scott Severin believes Aberdeen have what it takes to progress to the Uefa Cup group stages. The Dons drew 0-0 with Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the home leg of their first round encounter, but Severin insists Aberdeen have what is required to secure an away win on Thursday. At the same stage of the competition two years ago Dnipro beat Hibernian 5-1 at the Meteor Stadium after earning a goalless draw at Easter Road. Severin, though, insists Aberdeen will not suffer the same fate. "We did play reasonably well but I think we should have scored one or two goals," said Severin. "But we kept a clean sheet and come here with plans to score a goal or two and keep it tight at the back.

Confidence

"We have just come off two wins in a row and come here with lots of confidence that we can make it three in a row. "They did create one or two chances towards the end of the game but they need to score and they may leave spaces at the back where we can hopefully create chances. "It's going to be difficult but we know we have got the players capable of scoring goals and players capable of not conceding goals. "If we score, they are going to have to attack. We have got pace in the team to do that and hopefully can add to that."
