Midfielder flattered by Premier interest
Portugal international Ricardo Quaresma has admitted he was flattered to be linked with a move to the Premier League this summer.
But the talented midfielder, a reported target for both Liverpool and Chelsea prior to the closure of the transfer window, insists he remains committed to Porto.
And Quaresma has set his sights on UEFA Champions League success after last week's group stage draw, which paired Porto with the Reds, Marseille and Besiktas.
He told
skysports.com: "There have been a lot of rumours of my future this summer.
"It is very flattering to be linked with English clubs, but I'm very happy with Porto and I'm only thinking about my future here."
Magnificent
Quaresma believes Rafael Benitez's side will provide the sternest opposition and feels Porto's home form will be crucial to their hopes of progress.
He said: "Liverpool were only beaten in the final of last season's competition and are recognised as one of the biggest clubs in the world.
"The opportunity to play at such a famous stadium as Anfield is magnificent and this is one game I am very much looking forward to.
"We will have to be on our guard when we travel to Marseille and Besiktas and we have to demonstrate that we are the champions of Portugal. If we can play as we know we can then we should be able to progress."
Confident
Quaresma added: "I believe we can challenge for the Champions League this season and I'm confident we will get through our group.
"Liverpool will be tough opponents but they are not invincible and we should be too good for Marseille and Besiktas.
"If we can win our home matches and add a couple of points in the away games then we should have enough to finish in the top two."
