Owls want Turner back
Brian Laws is hoping to bring Everton keeper Iain Turner back to Sheffield Wednesday.
Brian Laws is hoping to bring Everton goalkeeper Iain Turner back to Sheffield Wednesday next season.
Turner played his last game for The Owls in a 2-1 win over Coventry City on Saturday before returning to Goodison Park.
The Scot was not on the losing side in 11 appearances for the Championship club and impressed Laws with his performances.
Though Everton will not consider selling Turner in the summer, Laws would be keen to arrange another loan deal.
"He's been a sensational player for us," the Owls boss told the Sheffield Star. "If we could have kept him it would have been fantastic.
"I spoke to David Moyes; Everton will have a keeper problem themselves, and after Iain has gone back there, he will not be able to return here this season.
"As for next season, we're still trying to get the lad back here.
"There's a lot of talking to be done. Let's hope he's here next season on loan."
