Bhoys confirm Balde break
Celtic have confirmed that Bobo Balde suffered a broken leg against Dundee United.
Celtic have confirmed that Bobo Balde suffered a broken leg during the 2-2 draw with Dundee United on Boxing Day.The Bhoys defender was stretchered off in the first half of the game at Celtic Park and is now expected to be out of action for a number of months following the serious blow.
Balde will miss both legs of Celtic's UEFA Champions League last 16 tie with Milan, and leaves Gordon Strachan's side short at a time when they can ill-afford further injury problems.
The Scottish champions are currently without Mark Wilson for two months due to a knee problem, with Gary Caldwell also out with a groin strain, and the Glasgow giants have now confirmed the latest injury blow to befall the Bhoys defence.
"Celtic Football Club can confirm that Bobo Balde suffered a leg break during the 2-2 draw with Dundee United on Boxing Day," read a club statement.
"The Guinean defender, who has been integral part of the Hoops squad since joining the club from Toulouse in 2001, will be out for a number of months."
