Dhorasso sacked by PSG

PSG have sacked Vikash Dhorasoo following his criticism of coach Guy Lacombe.

Paris Saint Germain have sacked midfielder Vikash Dhorasoo following his criticism of coach Guy Lacombe.

The 33-year-old publicly disputed Lacombe's tactics after being dropped from the main PSG squad and sent to play for their amateur team.

He said he felt humiliated by the experience and branded Lacombe 'a liar'.

PSG chairman Alain Cayzac then suspended Dhorasoo while he made a decision on his future and, after days of deliberation, has announced the player's departure.

A club spokesman said: "PSG confirms that Vikash Dhorasoo's contract has been terminated."

Dhorasoo's sacking marks the first time in more than 30 years that a French player has been fired by a French club.

Attention will now shift to where Dhorasoo will go next, and there is likely to be no shortage of takers for the former international.

Strasbourg have already declared their interest, while Premiership side Bolton have also been linked with Dhorasoo in the past.
