Pompey tie up Campbell deal

Portsmouth have completed the signing of Sol Campbell on a free transfer.

Campbell has signed a two-year deal at Fratton Park after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.

Pompey beat a host of rivals to secure the signature of the England international.

Campbell was available on a free transfer after being allowed to leave Arsenal last month.

The former Tottenham Hotspur man is Harry Redknapp's third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Glen Johnson on a season-long loan from Chelsea and David Thompson on a free transfer.
