Kaka admits to Real interest
Kaka is flattered by rumours that Real Madrid are tracking him, but wants Milan satisfied first.
Brazilian midfielder Kaka is flattered by rumours that Real Madrid are tracking him, but wants Milan satisfied before he makes a move. The 24-year-old playmaker continued his impressive Serie A form last season with The Samba Boys at the World Cup, and has attracted a string of admirers including Bernabeu president Ramon Calderon.
His club's involvement in the match-fixing scandal in Italy has seen UEFA Champions League football stripped from the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and leaves the club with a 15-point deficit for the coming season.
Rossoneri have continued to insist the player is not for sale though, and Los Merengues' target is anxious not to upset his current employers.
"I'm happy that Real have shown an interest and I'm flattered by the fact they want me," he told AS.
"But I'll sign for the Spanish club only if they arrive at an agreement that can satisfy both myself and Milan, especially the latter.
"My family and I feel good at Milan and that's the reason why I renewed my deal with Rossoneri until 2011.
"I don't want to force the situation and I want this to be clear for all the world."
Calderon won the presidential election in Madrid promising Kaka's signature, but would have to part with somewhere in the region of ‚é¼50 million (£34 million) to prise the player away from his home in Italy.
