French midfielder Thomas Pinault is to become Brentford's fourth new signing of the summer, subject to passing a medical. The former Grimsby man has been on trial at Griffin Park for the past week, and has impressed boss Leroy Rosenior enough in three pre-season friendlies to be offered terms with the club.
"I'm delighted to have Thomas Pinault join us," Rosenior told the club's official website.
"He's a central midfield player with excellent ball playing and passing ability and he comes to us with good experience at this level.
"He's only 24, although he looks older than that, and he's a good character to have around the place."
Pinault, who joins on a free transfer, is relishing the opportunity of playing a major role for The Bees.
"I'm really looking forward to playing this season having missed the best part of last season through injury," he said.
"I bring with me good experience in this division and I can't wait for the kick off in August."
