Kluivert allowed to leave

Patrick Kluivert has been informed by Valencia he can find a new club.

Patrick Kluivert is one of four high-profile players informed by Valencia that their services will not be required next term.

The Dutch forward struggled to make any sort of impact in La Primera last term and, along with Italian trio Marco Di Vaio, Bernardo Corradi and Stefano Fiore, has been informed he can head for pastures new.

Valencia start their pre-season training camp in Holland this week and the quartet were not included in coach Quique Sanchez Flores' plans.

"They will all start training later and during the intervening period they will be given time to look for another team," Sanchez Flores said on Wednesday.

Kluivert has taken on a nomadic profile in recent years, having played for Barcelona, Newcastle and Valencia in the last three seasons, and he will likely be on the move again.

He has been linked with a return to Ajax, while Di Vaio, Corradi and Fiore are likely to go back to Italy.
