Livermore lambasts Lions board

Millwall defender David Livermore has hit out at the club's board.

Millwall midfielder David Livermore has hit out at the club's board as they move closer to relegation.

Just two seasons ago Millwall reached the FA Cup final and qualified for Europe, but are now staring at the prospect of playing in League One next season.

Saturday's defeat to Derby all but condemned Millwall to the drop and Livermore insists club officials must take some of the blame for the collapse.

"It's amazing how far this club has gone downhill over the past 14 months," said Livermore.

"There are a lot of people who have got to answer a lot of questions at boardroom level. They are hiding now though.

"We've gone from playing in the FA Cup Final and then the Uefa Cup to the prospect of playing in League One in less than two years. It has been a disaster.

"There has been no guidance from anywhere, nobody has made decisions, and it has been a slippery slope all the way."
