Italian international Francesco Totti has had 33 stitches removed following surgery on his broken leg.The striker fractured his fibula during Roma's game with Empoli in February and has started the long process towards recovery.
Doctors have confirmed that the situation is looking positive, however it is still going to be at least three more weeks before Totti will be able to walk without crutches.
The Roma captain will begin his water rehabilitation in the next few days as he looks to recover in time for the World Cup in June.
"Lippi can be sure to count me in for the World Cup," said a confident Totti. "There won't be any problem.
"From a mental point of view I'm already there and I have the faith of all the staff and team-mates, everyone wants me there."
