Tottenham winger underlines the impact of his side's backline
Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale believes that his side's stability at the back is a key reason for their attack to gel this season.
Spurs are currently third in the Premier League with 31 points from 13 matches, just two points behind second-placed Manchester United with a game in hand.
Saturday's 3-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers at White Hart Lane was Harry Redknapp's side's record sixth successive win in the league and saw them extend their unbeaten run to a record-equalling 11 matches.
During this spell Tottenham have conceded just eight goals, and Bale underlines this aspect of their game while reflecting on their performance in attack.
"I just think we've got the balance right," said the Wales international on Spurs'
official website.
Confidence
"We've Scott Parker in the team now and he covers every blade of grass, closes everyone down and gives us that security in midfield.
"Younes (Kaboul) and Ledley (King) have been great, (goalkeeper) Brad (Friedel) and the full-backs have been playing well and that gives us front five the licence to attack as much as we can and that has got us the goals.
"We're all playing with so much confidence at the moment.
"Even if we're on the back foot or teams are attacking us, we've got the pace to hit them on the counter-attack," added Bale. "It's good to have that in our armoury."
