Alex laughs off Real rumours

Fenerbahce's Alex de Souza has laughed off reports linking him to Real Madrid.

Fenerbahce star Alex de Souza has poured scorn on reports that he is set to sign for Real Madrid.

The Brazilian international was reported to have emerged as a summer target for compatriot, and Los Merengues boss, Wanderley Luxemburgo.

However Alex has insisted that no formal contact has yet been forthcoming from the Spanish giants, and reaffirmed his contentment at life with the Turkish outfit.

"I've been getting many offers since my transfer to Fenerbahce," Alex told the club's official website.

"I don't understand why they publish this as if it is something new.

"I have a contract with Fenerbahce, if I was to go to another club then the offer would have to be made to Fenerbahce.

"If an offer came the president of this club and the board will take them into consideration and if they want they will sell me.

"However I always say that I am very happy in Turkey.

"It is not possible for me to play for Fenerbahce and Real Madrid at the same time, I have said this many times before.

"The importance of our remaining games are obvious, if Turkish journalists want to claim I made certain statements to the Brazilian media they should first know that I'm going nowhere, because I don't want to go and even kids know that.

"They insist on not understanding me, so I just laugh at these transfer rumours.

"If there are those who like the way I play, president Aziz Yildrim is here, they should come and speak to him."
