Kiki keen on City stay

Kiki Musampa admits he is more than happy with life at Manchester City.

Kiki Musampa admits he is more than happy with life at Manchester City.

The 27-year-old arrived in the North West on a six-month loan deal from Atletico Madrid and has settled quickly to life in The Premiership.

Musampa concedes that he has needed time to adjust to a new life in a foreign country but after an initial period to acclimatise, is now loving his stay in Manchester.

With Stuart Pearce's position as City's successor to Kevin Keegan still to be finalised, Musampa accepts that he may have to wait before his own future is decided.

However, the early indications suggest that should City concur, Musampa would be ready to tie his long-term future to Eastlands.

''It takes time for anyone to settle into a new club,'' Musampa told the club's official website.

''I have to get used to a different country, a different league and different people.

''It is like coming to a whole new world that you're not used to. The training regime needs adjusting to and so do even simple things like the food.

''I have to say the more time I spend here the better I like it - both the club and Manchester as a place.

''We have not spoken about what will happen at the end of the season but I am enjoying my football.

''The crowd is great, the stadium is great and everything is in place for me to be happy here so I would love to stay.''
