Ricardo wants a move to Spurs, while Man Utd are monitoring Morgan De Sanctis.
Manchester United goalkeeper Ricardo has issued a 'come and get me' plea to Tottenham Hotspur.The Spaniard has endured a hugely disappointing time at Old Trafford since his move from Real Valladolid in the summer of 2002.
The 33-year-old finds himself behind both Tim Howard and Roy Carroll at United despite Sir Alex Ferguson being seemingly dissatisfied with his two goalkeeping rivals.
Having started only five games in nearly three years, Ricardo is desperate to move and is encouraged by talk of reported interest from Spurs - with a swap deal involving Paul Robinson being mooted.
He insists he has what it takes to succeed in The Premiership, but admits he has no chance of convincing Ferguson of his worth.
"I've been linked with Tottenham. I like Spurs very much and would be happy to play for them," he stated.
"I'm a top keeper and it's not been good for me to have played so little first-team football at United.
"I haven't spoken to the grandpa (Ferguson) much lately.
"He pays me no attention whatsoever when he names the team. I've got no chance with him."
Meanwhile, United are reportedly monitoring Udinese goalkeeper with a view to a summer transfer, with both Ricardo and Carroll on their way out.
The 28-year-old has recently broken into the full Italy squad and made his international bow in last week's goalless draw with Iceland.
De Sanctis is rated in the £5-6 million bracket, and it is claimed Ferguson has identified him as the possible solution to United's long-standing goalkeeping problems.
The Italian is understood to want a move to one of Europe's top clubs, and believes Udinese would not stand in his way if they received a substantial offer for his services.
"I think the club would allow me to leave is a good offer came along," he stated.
