Veen's Postma frustration

De Graafschap have hinted they are being priced out of the market for Stefan Postma.

De Graafschap have suggested that they are being priced out of the market for Aston Villa keeper Stefan Postma.

Dutch keeper Postma has made it clear that he wants to head out of Villa Park after finding his opportunities limited due to the fine form of Thomas Sorensen.

Villa boss David O'Leary has confirmed that he will not stand in the keeper's way, but it would appear Postma's price tag is proving to be a stubborn obstacle for interested parties to pass.

De Graafschap have been alerted to Postma's ability and have made an enquiry, but believe they will need Villa to drop their price if they are to sign the keeper.

"There has been a telephone call to Postma, but he is too expensive," De Graafschap chairman Sietze Veen told Omroep Gelderland.

"Aston Villa are looking for a transfer fee and we would also have to pay him."

With Rob van Dijk sidelined through injury, De Graafschap's need for a new keeper is great and they may have to seek out other options with the season due to re-start this weekend.
