Port Vale boss Martin Foyle admits he is undecided as to whether to sign Newcastle midfielder Jamie McClen.The 25-year-old has not appeared for Newcastle's first team since the opening day of the 2002/03 season and has become the forgotten man of St James' Park.
McClen is out of contract in the summer and is keen on a move to rejuvenate his stalled career but Foyle is yet to reach a decision.
''McClen did okay on Tuesday and will spend around one more week with us before we decide where to go with the player,'' conceded Foyle.
''But the ball is in his court.''
One potential stumbling block for any deal is the player's wages, as well as the fact he would have to settle his contract with his current employers.
