Morientes wants Monaco return

Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes craves a return to Monaco as he feels he has unfinished business in the Principality.Morientes had a productive loan spell with Monaco last season, leading them to the UEFA Champions League final, before returning to Madrid in the summer.
The centre forward could have moved on in the summer, but he felt he would be handed the chance to shine in Madrid.
Morientes admitted he would be behind Raul and Ronaldo in the pecking order, but the surprise arrival of Michael Owen forced him further down the ladder.
The 28-year-old is not happy with his dearth of opportunities and is eager to return to Monaco.
"I have a great desire to go back there," he told L'Equipe. "I have always felt I left something there I have not terminated.
"I only have good memories from my period at Monaco.
"On a personal level, I can see no disadvantage to restarting the experience; the sooner the better.
"I hope we will soon sit around a table to settle an agreement."
A fee of é¼12 million has been mentioned and this could be a stumbling block for Monaco, while Liverpool and teams in Italy are also said to be interested.
However, Morientes has been a good servant to Real and it is being suggested that president Florentino Perez will endeavour to smooth a passage to Monaco if the forward confirms he wants to return.
