Dabo wants Lazio stay

Ousmane Dabo hopes to stay at Lazio next season but is unsure of his position with the side due to the club's uncertain financial future.

The former Atalanta star is happy with the Biancoceleste, but wants to be with a club that will strengthen his chances of playing for France in Euro 2004.

With Lazio battling it out for the Coppa Italia and a place in next season's UEFA Champions League, Dabo is looking to add more medals to his trophy cabinet.

"Lazio must decide whether to sell me or not," he said. "I'm also looking for a place in France's European Championship squad.

"I'd like to stay at Lazio because here I've found my dimension. My team-mates are fantastic.

"The team have the possibility to win the Coppa Italia and the fourth useful place for Champions League. I can't fail."

Dabo has been in and out of Roberto Mancini's team, but blames injuries for his failure to land a consistent starting place.

"Unfortunately, this season I haven't been able to give continuity to my performances because when I played well I got injured, and when I returned I was injured again," he added.
