Roberto Carlos eyes Brazil move
The classy defender would like to end his career playing in Brazil once he quits El Santiago Bernabeu.
The former Internazionale star revealed he was ready to pledge his future to Real by signing a new deal with the Spanish giants.
Real have offered the skilful full back a two-year extension to keep him at the club until 2007 and the South American star has indicated he is ready to accept terms.
"Once my time in European football gets to an end, I want to finish my career playing in Brazilian football but at the moment I am only thinking in renewing my contract with Real Madrid," said Roberto Carlos.
The Real ace also revealed he believes Manchester United pose the biggest threat to the Spanish giants in the UEFA Champions League.
Real take on Bayern Munich next week in the second leg of their knock-out tie with a 1-1 draw from the first meeting in Munich and although Roberto Carlos expects a tough test, he feels Manchester United are their biggest European rivals.
"We are doing all what is possible for winning the Champions League again but it will not be easy, it's a very hard championship," added Roberto Carlos.
"Everyone thinks that the hardest rival is Bayern Munich but I think it's Manchester United.
"The games against Bayern are always very emotive but our major rival is Manchester United."
Roberto Carlos turned his attention to Brazil team-mate Ronaldinho and he believes the Barcelona forward can become one of the best players in the world.
"He is a very good player, a very clever boy and he is going to give all the teams a lot of trouble," said Roberto Carlos.
"I am sure that he will soon be the best player in the world but it's going to be very difficult for him to defeat Ronaldo.
"At the moment, I think that Ronaldo is still the number one."
