Ancelotti satisfied with point

MILAN boss Carlo Ancelotti said his side earned a vital point on a difficult playing surface against Perugia, as they failed to maintain their winning start to the Serie A campaign.

Filippo Inzaghi also raised fears when he was taken to hospital with a facial injury after a collision with Perugia keeper Zeljko Kalac - although the club have since announced that the Italian hit-man will be released on Monday.

The Rossoneri coach also refused to delve too far into Rivaldo's future at the club, saying the Brazilian would be given his chance in the future.

"We expected more, especially after the first goal," said Ancelotti. "But the game changed after we scored.

"We just didn't pay attention. But this is an important point, especially on a pitch as difficult as Renato Curi is.

"As for Rivaldo, he is a Milan player, he wants to stay and I'm sure in the future he will find himself in the team."

Perugia boss Serse Cosmi was equally as pleased with his side's point as he said last week's defeat still weighed heavily on the players' minds.

He said: "We have to be aware that we are facing Milan and that it's a big result after what has been a difficult week.

"Last week's defeat with Parma was still in our thoughts."
