I'll prove doubters wrong - Proudlock
The 22-year-old made his debut for The Owls in the 2-0 home victory over Tranmere Rovers on Saturday, after he made a £150,000 move to Hillsborough on Friday and penned a three-year deal with Chris Turner's side.
Proudlock fell out of favour with the Molineux outfit and with little prospect of breaking into the first team following Wolves' promotion to The Premiership this season, the club decided to sell the hit-man to Wednesday.
The striker revealed his disappointment at leaving the Black Country outfit but hopes he can prove his doubters wrong by scoring plenty of goals for The Owls.
"It hurt me to leave Wolves," Proudlock told the Express & Star.
"They have been my team since I was 13 and I was very disappointed not to be given a chance in The Premiership.
"I know the manager can only pick 11 players but I worked hard in pre-season and was really keen to do well in the top flight this term.
"I feel I have a point to prove to people as well as myself and in Chris Turner I've a boss who gives me confidence and believes in me.
"This club is massive and gates of 24,000 in this division tells you that. My aim is to help get them back where they belong and that's in The Premiership."
Wolves boss Dave Jones defended his decision to sell Proudlock, believing it was time for the youngster to move on.
"Adam needed to get away to a new club and I wish him well," said Jones.
"Sometimes players reach a point where they need a change to get their career going again and that was the case with Adam."
