Bakayoko delight at Osasuna switch
The Ivory Coast international put pen-to-paper on a two-contract with the Navarra-based club, and explained it was Osasuna's determination to land his services that had swayed him.
Bakayoko becomes boss Javier Aguirre's fifth signing of the summer, following the captures of Unai Exposito, Julio Cesar Pinheiro, Gorka Garcia and Carlos Cuellar, and admitted he had always wanted to experience the Spanish league.
"Olympique (Marseille) wanted me to resign for another two years, but it is a team which makes a lot of changes very often and I was clear that I wanted to come to an agreement to leave," said the 26-year-old.
"I had no problems with the club however.
"I had various offers from England, Italy and the most important from Germany, but I came to Osasuna and saw that the club and manager were doing everything possible to make sure I joined.
"I knew I wanted to come to Spain, and Osasuna had the biggest pull for me. I come with the maximum respect for the club and I'm not thinking about any other teams, I am going to fight my hardest for Osasuna.
"The important thing is not the goals that I score, but the team, although if my goals can help us succeed all the better."
