Barnsley eye two more trialists

BARNSLEY boss Gudjon Thordarson will cast his eye over two more trialists this week.

Marvin Robinson and Craig Ireland are both set to train with The Tykes' first-team on Wednesday and feature in the weekend game against Bradford City.

The 23-year-old striker Robinson was released by debt-ridden Derby County at the end of last summer and had a loan spell at Stoke City during Thordarson's time at the club, as well as spells with Exeter City and Tranmere Rovers.

Ireland spent the last two-and-a-half years at Notts County where he appeared in over 80 games for The Magpies.

Thordarson told the club's official website: "We have had Marvin and Craig with us today and we will look more closely at them.

"I am to involve all the trialists at some stage against Bradford this weekend."
