We cast an eye over the weekend's Premier League action and pick out the highlights.
Player of the Weekend
Tom Huddlestone
The Hull City midfielder has to go down as one of the best signings of the season after moving to the KC Stadium from Tottenham in the summer. According to his manager Steve Bruce, he produced a 'masterclass' in Hull's 6-0 mauling of Fulham on Saturday. He scored his first goal since April 2011, hit the crossbar with a beautifully-struck 40-yard free-kick and ran the show from the centre of midfield. On this form, he has to be pushing for inclusion in England's World Cup squad.
Game of the Weekend
West Ham 3 West Brom 3
The weekend started with a topsy-turvy encounter at Upton Park between two clubs locked in a fight for Premier League survival. Joe Cole put West Ham into a fourth minute lead before Nicolas Anelka scored twice in the five minutes before half-time to turn the match in West Brom's favour. Midway through the second half, there was a flurry of three goals in four minutes. Modibo Maiga drew West Ham level before Kevin Nolan volleyed the home side in front, only for Saido Berahino to crack a low drive off the upright to earn West Brom a point. Berahino then came close to pinching all three points for West Brom when his free-kick struck the post.
Goal of the Weekend
Eden Hazard
Chelsea had to come from behind to claim a crucial 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge and it was the Belgium international who levelled things on 17 minutes with an exquisite right-footed equaliser which was curled beyond Simon Mignolet's outstretched left hand after Oscar drove through the middle and his attempted pass bounced off Sakho into Hazard's path.
Lucky bounce of the Weekend
Danny Welbeck
There was a strong element of good fortune about Danny Welbeck's winner for Manchester United at Norwich. Ryan Bennett's attempted clearance ricocheted off Welbeck and then off Javier Hernandez before rolling into the England striker's path. Welbeck took full advantage of the lucky break to skip past John Ruddy and score the only goal of the game.
Save of the Weekend
Joe Hart
Manchester City had been tipped to record a big win over Crystal Palace, but were instead indebted to goalkeeper Joe Hart for their narrow 1-0 success. Hart, who now appears to be back as City's No.1, pulled off several key saves against Palace, the most impressive of which was a flying dive to his left to tip Joel Ward's thumping 30-yarder round the post just moments after Edin Dzeko had opened the scoring.
Flap of the Weekend
Joel Robles
Starting his first Premier League game for Everton in the absence of the suspended Tim Howard, summer signing Joel Robles didn't press his claims to dislodge his team-mate on a more permanent basis. With Everton leading 1-0, Southampton's Gaston Ramirez picked up the ball and let fly from about 30 yards. There was plenty of venom behind Ramirez's shot, and possibly a little swerve, but Joel should have done better than waft his hands at the ball as it flew over his head.
Miss of the Weekend
Jozy Altidore
Sunderland fell behind early on against Cardiff, but had a chance to equalise on the half-hour mark. Ki Sung-yueng saw his shot pushed away by David Marshall and the ball fell to the unmarked Altidore just a few yards out. Though the ball did come quickly at the USA international, he would still have expected to score, rather than slice his effort wide of the target.
Celebration of the Weekend
Tom Huddlestone's haircut
Huddlestone can finally pay a visit to the barbers' after scoring his first goal since April 2011 in the 6-0 demolition of Fulham the KC Stadium. However, Huddlestone's locks were given a little trim after he scored when the Hull physio cut a chunk of his hair off.
