Mills injured in car crash
The 32-year-old striker, who recently completed a permanent switch to The Potters from fellow Division One side Coventry City, was reportedly fortunate to escape with his life following a collision on the M6.
The former Bradford City and Portsmouth hit-man suffered severe bruising when he crashed into a broken-down car after his club's weekend draw with Division One high-flyers Sheffield United.
Mills, who was cleared of blame for the accident, will not be available for the clash at Molineux and could be very well be out for the season.
The striker's setback in another unfortunate blow to Stoke City boss Tony Pulis, who looks to have lost fellow striker Chris Iwelumo for the rest of the season through injury, with The Potters facing a return to Division Two next season.
Despite the loss of Mills, the former Gillingham, Bristol City and Portsmouth manager was quick to acknowledge how fortunate his player was in escaping serious injury.
"It could have been much worse," said Pulis.
