Satisfied Crespo slams Vieri talk
HERNAN CRESPO has insisted that he is enjoying life at Internazionale, and slammed talk that he is too similar to Christian Vieri to play alongside the Italian international.
Argentine Crespo arrived at Giuseppe Meazza after Ronaldo was sold to Real Madrid, but insisted that he was not a replacement for the Brazilian.
"I want to be treated as Hernan Crespo, not as Ronaldo's replacement," Crespo exclusively told planetfootball.
"I am used to this situation, and if I wasn`t being labelled Ronaldo's replacement then I would just be another player.
"I also wish the stories about not being able to play alongside Vieri would stop.
"We are not too similar. I am more mobile and he is far stronger and we will work on this in training.
"You have to bear in mind that I missed all the work in the summer because I only arrived 20 days ago.
"There are a lot of Argentinians in the team, but so what?
"We are comfortable with this - but I will say that you hear a lot of Spanish in the dressing room."
Crespo started on the bench in the last gasp 2-1 win against Reggina - and set up the breakaway winner for Alvaro Recoba.
"The squad rotation is normal - we have so many games at the moment.
"The game was terrible. We led 1-0 and could not get a second which invited pressure."
