Japan to offer fortune for Quinton
According to Fortune's business manager Colin Gie the J-League side have made a lucrative offer for his services which is considerably better than his current contract at Old Trafford.
The left-sided winger has impressed at the World Cup with Bafana Bafana scoring once in the 2-2 draw with Paraguay.
Fortune, who has been nothing more than a bit-part player at United, has just six months to run on his present deal at the club and is he set to hold talks soon over an extension.
A number of Premiership clubs are also thought to have expressed an interest in the former Atletico Madrid ace, but it is the Japanese deal which is most concrete.
"They (J-League club) have great interest after watching Quinton in action for South Africa," said Gie.
"Of course, people in Japan know him from playing for Man United, who are very big in the Far East," he added.
"He would be in good position to secure a lucrative deal with any club of his choice when his contract with United is up so it's a matter of time before we decide on his future."
Fortune has regularly expressed a desire to stay and United and fight for his place, but a lucrative offer and the chance of regular first team football could tempt him to quit Old Trafford.
