Zitelli resigned to quitting Hibs

HIBERNIAN ace David Zitelli has admitted that his career at Easter Road may be over after talks with new manager Bobby Williamson.

The French striker was angry at being left out of Williamson's first line-up for the match against St Johnstone last weekend and is resigned to the fact that he will have to play elsewhere if he wants to continue playing.

The former Strasbourg star was seeking assurances from Williamson which he could not guarantee.

"I don't think it will be possible to play in this team," said Zitelli.

"I trained very hard last week, but still I was not in the team against St Johnstone.

"The new manager is a nice guy and I respect him, but I spoke to him and understood that it was better that I leave.

"It's a shame, but if I'm not in his team, I'm not in his team - that is football."
