LATICS LAND MIDFIELD DUO

WIGAN ATHLETIC have bolstered their midfield on the eve of the new season by securing the services of Walsall midfielder Gabor Bukran and Rangers' Polish international Dariusz Adamczuk.

25-year-old Bukran has signed on a non-contract basis, after impressing manager Paul Jewell during a week-long trial, following his release by Walsall.

Adamczuk, meanwhile, has agreed a three-month loan deal, with a view to a permanent deal.

The 31-year-old is sure to add a great deal of quality to the Wigan midfield as only last year he was playing in the Champions League,

"He's a very fit lad who can get up and down well," said Jewell of Adamczuk.

"He will fit in on the right hand side of the team and bring us a bit more balance. It's a deal that will suit all parties down to the ground and gives us a chance to have a good look at him."

Both players go straight into the squad to face Brentford at the JJB Stadium on Saturday.
