PROUDLOCK AGREES NEW DEAL

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS striker Adam Proudlock has agreed to sign a new four-year deal with the club.

The 19-year-old is only in his debut season at Molineux, but has become the club's top scorer and has put together enough impressive performances to earn himself an extended deal.

Proudlock has scored 11 goals for Wolves, along with five whilst on loan with Scottish side Clyde, and the club are keen to keep hold of him for some time to come.

Another Wolves youngster, Keith Andrews is also set to be offered a four-year deal in a bid to keep away any Premiership admirers.

The news is a welcome boost for the 20-year-old just before he makes his 40th appearance for the club against Bolton on Tuesday night.

"The emergence of the youngsters has been the highlight of the season," said manager Dave Jones.

"Joleon Lescott, who was outstanding on Saturday, signed a long contract a few months ago, so did Lee Naylor. Now, we want to sit down with Keith and his agent to try to get something sorted.

"These players are the future of the club and have gained a lot of good experience this season."
