STANLEY SLAMS GINOLA TREATMENT
Chantel Stanley, who acts as the former Tottenham man`s advisor and is also a close friend, claims Ginola does not want to make a fuss but is hurt at not being in the first-team.
Ginola received a tremendous reception from the Tottenham faithful on his return to White Hart Lane at the weekend, but was only given ten minutes` playing time by Gregory.
Stanley has finally broken her silence, saying: "The treatment David is getting is extraordinary.
"It`s hurting David, He tells me not to make waves, but the way he is being treated is not fair.
"David keeps telling me 'I have so much football in my legs', but he never gets to play. He says it is the manager`s decision and he cannot go against it, but I do not understand it.
"On Saturday at Tottenham he had 36,000 people all cheering for him, Spurs and Aston Villa, and it was crazy that he could not get 90 minutes.
"David keeps it all to himself, but I know it hurts him It seems ridiculous and it is a problem."
Gregory has placed Ginola on the bench on 18 occasions this season, and Stanley believes this to be `baffling'.
"David is a total professional and will do everything he can to get in the team," she said. "You can`t afford to treat David like a luxurious substitute, it`s not fair on him and not fair on the fans. The Aston Villa supporters must think this is all crazy.
"David knows he is out in the cold at Villa but doesn`t say anything because he doesn`t want to make trouble.
"I just want him to play for 90 minutes. I cannot be the only one who thinks he is being wasted.
"I find it baffling. It`s a problem and David is not happy with it, but I don't think he will ask for a transfer. If he wanted to do that, he would speak to me first and he hasn`t done that yet.
"All David wants to do is play for Aston Villa."
