McKENNA TIES FUTURE TO PNE
PAUL McKENNA has agreed a new deal with Preston North End that will keep him at the club until 2005.
The diminutive 23-year-old, who expressed his delight at agreeing a new deal, has come through the ranks at PNE - and watched the progression of the historic East Lancashire club.
"I can reveal that I signed a new four-and-a-half-year contract last week, which lasts until the summer of 2005," said the midfielder.
"I am happy here and we are only one division away from being in the best league in the world.
"I have been with the club since I was 14 and am happy to sign a new deal.
"I have been here since we were struggling in the bottom division and now we are challenging to get into The Premiership," he added.
