VIDUKA WANTS CELTIC RETURN

LEEDS UNITED striker Mark Viduka has revealed that his desire is to return to former club Celtic at some point in the future.

During the club`s Christmas party, Viduka shocked Whites fans by breaking into a rendition of `Hail, Hail the Celts are here,` and later stated how sad he was when he decided to leave Parkhead for Elland Road.

The Australian completed the move during the summer and has had a sparkling start to his Premiership career, but his comments are sure to worry manager David O`Leary.

Speaking at the club`s Christmas party, Viduka said: "I'm still a Celtic fan and I always will be. It's in my blood and in my veins, just like any other football supporter.

"I absolutely love the club and I really would like to go back eventually.

"Unfortunately, I felt I needed a new challenge in the summer and, at the moment, Leeds can offer some success in the Champions League.

"I never even spoke to Martin O'Neill in the summer because my mind was made up, but I was sorry to go in the end.

"It was a sad day when I left having been a Bhoys' fan since I was a kid, but one day I hope to go back.

"Henrik Larsson and the rest of the boys are having a good season and I hope they get the title because they've been the best team in Scotland this year."

The one saving grace for Leeds is that Viduka`s tremendous performances have substantially increased his value beyond the £6 million they paid Celtic to secure his services.
