SEEDORF LINKED WITH LAZIO SWAP

CLARENCE SEEDORF has been linked with a move to Lazio, and reports are suggesting that Internazionale would be willing to let the Dutch international leave in exchange for Paolo Negro.

The 23-year-old enigmatic midfielder is already a veteran of European football having played for Ajax, Sampdoria and Real Madrid, and Lazio have now turned their attentions to him after missing out on Parma`s Dino Baggio.

The two clubs have already attempted one swap deal this week, but the deal involving Marcelo Salas and Dario Simic is believed to have fallen through.

Italian international Negro is one of Lazio`s longest serving players, but new manager Marco Tardelli is believed to be a big fan of the 28-year-old right-back and he wants him at the Giuseppe Meazza.

Lazio are willing to sacrifice Negro and will also have to balance the deal with a cash settlement if they want the transfer to go through.

Although the return of Christian Panucci from Chelsea has been rumoured and if that did happen any move for Negro by the Neroazzuri would be doubtful.
