RANIERI SAVED MY CHELSEA CAREER - FLO
Flo had been linked with a multi-million move away from Chelsea during the summer, with Rangers and Deportivo La Coruna interested in the big hit man, but the London club rejected all bids for the player, stating that he was not for sale.
However, the 27-year-old has said that if Vialli had remained in charge at the Premiership club, he may have ended up leaving, after falling victim to the rotation policy that the former Italian international had implemented at the club.
"There were offers for me in the summer," said Flo. "Clubs were interested in signing me.
"Who knows? Maybe if there had not been a change of manager at Chelsea I might have moved on. The offers were there. But I was not really, in my heart, tempted and now I'm glad."
Flo, who was brought to Chelsea from SK Brann for just £300,000 by former manager Ruud Gullit, has said that he is now determined to stay at Stamford Bridge and he is confident that the club can be successful under new coach Ranieri.
"I know I have got to see it through at Chelsea. Now this is a new challenge for me, and it is really exciting," added the Norwegian international.
"Ranieri seems like a good man. He does not want me to change the way I play, which is a good thing.
"We know people are going to be left out. The manager wants to look at every player he has in turn and consider the situation. We have to accept that. But there is a positive air around the club right now."
