MOLLOY SET TO JOIN POSH ON TRIAL
FORMER Manchester United player Eric Molloy is expected to join Second Division Peterborough United on trial this week.
Molloy had been on trial at The Posh’s league rivals Bristol Rovers during their pre-season tour, but now looks set to join Barry Fry’s men in his latest move towards securing a permanent playing contract.
The youngster came through the youth ranks at Old Trafford, but was one of a number of players to be included in United’s clear-out at the end of last season, and he has seeking a new club throughout the close season.
Meanwhile, Bristol Rovers have taken a potential replacement trialist for Molloy, with Norwich City midfielder Shaun Carey (pictured) aiming to impress Rovers boss Ian Holloway during the club’s pre-season fixtures.
