HORNE SIGNS WITH HARRIERS

KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS have finally completed the signing of Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Horne on a free transfer under the Bosman ruling.

The 38-year-old former Welsh international has signed a one-year contract after spending a short spell at Hillsborough when then Owls manager Peter Shreeves brought him in on transfer deadline day last season from Huddersfield Town.

His influence there could not prevent The Owls from dropping to Division One, but Harriers manager Jan Molby hopes Horne's experience will aid the club's first campaign in league football.

As reported by planetfootball.com in May, Kidderminster had hoped to complete Horne's move to Aggborough but no deal had been struck at that point.

Meanwhile, The Harriers have denied making a move for West Brom's Mark Angel, who was released by The Baggies boss Gary Megson at the end of the season.
