BERKOVIC "A COWARD" - LAMPARD

WEST HAM midfielder Frank Lampard has hit out at Celtic midfielder and former Hammers team-mate Eyal Berkovic, calling the Israeli `a coward` after he attacked the London club`s management team and players in his autobiography.

Berkovic, a £5.75million Scottish record signing, has been having arguably the worst week of his career and was dropped from the Celtic side on Saturday prompting Lampard to admit he is not surprised by the player`s problems.

"Have a look at Eyal and his problems," said Lampard. "He`s had trouble here and he`s having trouble there. Bit of a coincidence that.

"The problems all lie with him and no-one else. I think he`s proved himself to be a coward with the things he has said in his book."
