Relegated Bundesliga side appoint new boss on two-year deal
Andre Schubert will become the new manager of St Pauli in the summer when he leaves SC Paderborn 07.
The 39-year-old will succeed Holger Stanislawski after Saturday's final game of the season at Mainz when the current Millerntor Stadion boss leaves to take over at Hoffenheim.
Schubert has signed a two-year contract and will take his current Paderborn assistant, Jan-Moritz Lichte, with him to St Pauli, who have been relegated from the Bundesliga.
Schubert told his new club's official website: "We had very good negotiations. The talks were very professional and always without any haste.
"I am looking forward to working under ideal circumstances to be able to get my idea of football working. I am looking forward to the challenge at FC St. Pauli."
St Pauli chairman Stefan Orth said: "We are getting two very well prepared coaches.
"They are looking for success and they will further develop our kind of football. They will bring the team to a new level. They fit right into our club."
Former Switzerland midfielder Marcel Koller had recently been touted as favourite to get the job at St Pauli.
